  • Crochet hooks in sizes C/2.75 mm and B/2.25 mm (or 2.5 mm)
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle
  • 16 mm wooden bead (or larger for thicker yarn)

  • ch: chain
  • hdc: half double crochet
  • sl st: slip stitch
  • st: stitch

Body:

Magic circle

Round 1:

ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), 12 hdc into magic circle, sl st into 1st hdc (12 hdc total)

Round 2:

  • ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), 2 hdc in each st around (24 hdc total), sl st into 1st hdc

For Round 3:

ch 2 (counts as 1st hdc), 1 hdc, 2 hdc in next st, repeat around (36 hdc total), sl st into 1st hdc

Round 4:

  • ch 1, sl st in next st, repeat around, ch 1, sl st into 1st sl st, cut a long tail and hide it

Wings:

  • Magic circle
