Instructions:

Base Chain:

• Chain 1, skip one chain, double crochet in the next chain. Repeat this sequence across to the end of the row.

Main Pattern:

• Chain 3 (counts as a double crochet) and turn the work.
• Chain 1 for a space. Skip one chain.
• Double crochet in the next stitch.
• Chain 1, skip one chain, double crochet in the next stitch. Repeat the same pattern until reaching the desired length for your bag.
• For this specific bag, do 53 rounds to achieve a size of 12.5 inches in height (when folded) and 16 inches in width.

Edging:

• Chain 1 and turn the work for the back part of the bag first.
• Single crochet in the first stitch.

Decrease Stitches:

• Skip 4 stitches (one stitch and the chain space) and single crochet in the following chain space.

Continue the pattern:

• skip a chain space, single crochet in the next chain space, across to the last stitch.
