Materials:

  • Yarn: 4 colors (blue, orange, navy blue, and white)
  • Crochet Hook: 4.0 mm
  • Darning Needle

  • ch: chain
  • st: stitch
  • sl st: slip stitch
  • dc: double crochet
  • hdc: half double crochet
  • puff st: puff stitch
  • cl st: cluster stitch
  • tr: triple crochet

Pattern Instructions:

 To Make the First Granny Square:

Make a slip knot and chain 3.

  • Slip stitch into the first chain.
  • Chain 3 and make 15 double crochet in the middle.
  • Slip stitch into the third of the three chains you made initially.
  • Chain 1, hold the yarn, cut it, and weave in the end securely.

 Make the Orange Part:

  • Attach orange yarn and chain 2.
  • Make 16 puff stitches around:
  • Yarn over, insert hook, pull up a loop (3 loops on hook).
  • Continue as above until you have 7 loops on hook.
  • Yarn over and pull through 6 loops, then yarn over and pull through last 2 loops.
  • Check to ensure there are 16 puff stitches.
  • Slip stitch, chain 1, pull and cut yarn tightly at the center.

To Make the Navy Blue Part:

  • Secure navy blue yarn and chain 2.
  • Make 16 cluster stitches around:
