Materials Needed:

  • Size 10 crochet thread
  • 2 mm crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Needle (for weaving in ends)
  • 1/8 inch ribbon

Pattern Instructions:

Start the Bookmark:

  • Create a slip knot on your hook.
  • Chain 4.
  • Perform a double crochet into the first chain to form a small loop. This is the starting loop.

Row 1:

  • Chain 1 and turn your work.
  • Make a single crochet into the space between the chain and the double crochet.

Row 2:

  • Chain 3, turn your work.
  • Double crochet into the single crochet from the previous row.

Repeat Row 1 and Row 2:

  • Continue repeating these rows, alternating between them until you have 17 “holes” or loops formed by the chain spaces.

Final Row:

  • End on a single crochet row.
