Instructions:
Body:
Chain 3 and slip stitch in the first chain.
- Chain 1 and do 12 double crochets in the middle.
- Slip stitch on top of the first double crochet, chain 1, and do 2 double crochets in the same space.
- Jump over to the next stitch and do 2 double crochets, then repeat this pattern around until you have 24 double crochets.
- Slip stitch into the top of the double crochet, chain 1, and do 2 double crochets in the same space.
- Jump over to the next stitch and do 1 double crochet, then jump over to the next stitch and do 2 double crochets in the same space.
- Repeat this pattern around until you have 36 double crochets.
- Slip stitch into the top of the double crochet, chain 1, and do 8 double crochets in the same space.
- Jump over to the next stitch and do a slip stitch, then chain 1 and fasten off.
- Weave in your tails.
Head:
Count back 7 stitches from the head and attach your orange yarn.
- Chain 1, then chain 1 more.
- Go in the same stitch and do 7 double crochets, with a picot on the fourth double crochet.
- Chain 3, then go through the two loops and pick up the one on the left, then go right down underneath it and get that loop.
- Yarn over and pull through all three loops.
